The Arkansas Valley Wind and Percussion Ensemble is a well-established community band in Lamar, Colorado. We include a concert band and smaller ensembles, such as the AVWPE Jazz Band, pictured here:

The band consists entirely of volunteer musicians from the area around Lamar in Southeastern Colorado, and provides several concerts a year to our local community.

The band rehearses in the Shore Arts Center for several weeks in advance of our concerts. If you are interested in joining the band as a player, as a volunteer worker, or would simply like to come hear our concerts, just send us an email using our Contact Us form. Click HERE to go to that form.

If you’re looking to borrow music, please contact us.  Our library is large and diverse and you will need a username/password combination to access the lending library.  This library is a work in progress and new titles are added every day.  To date, about 100,000 titles are available.
